Dr. Gerda Kuiper is a Lecturer and Research Fellow at the Institute for Social and Cultural Anthropology, University of Cologne & Coordinator for the DAAD Climate and Environment Center "Future African Savannas" (AFAS). Her research focusses on economic anthropology, translocality, migration, labour and gender in the region of East Africa.
