Melanie Jäger is a PhD candidate in the Department of Social Anthropology and working on the SNSF project «Provisional Futures: Migrants as wanted workers, yet temporary residents (TEMP Migration)». Her focus in the project are migrant nurses working in Switzerland and is supervised by Prof. Dr. Helena Hof.
She holds a Bachelor degree in History and Chinese Studies and a Masters degree in Modern Asian Middle Eastern Studies (MAMES). Melanie wrote her Master thesis on Joseonjok women migrating to South Korea for care labour.
