Professor Ingrid Tomkowiak, University of Zurich, holds a school teacher’s degree in German and English Studies and a PhD in Cultural Studies. She is noted for her studies in popular literature and media, with a special focus on literature and media products for children and young people, and is a curator of successful exhibitions. She is founder and co-editor of the online-journal kids+media and co-editor of interjuli, a journal of international research into children’s literature. She is founder and editor of the book series Populäre Literaturen und Medien (Popular Literature and Media; Chronos 2007sqq., 11 volumes so far).
