Short bio

Mareike Scherer has a bachelor degree in Ethnology and Economics from the University of Heidelberg and a research master in Social and Cultural Anthropology (CREOLE - cultural differences and transnational processes) from the University of Vienna and Maynooth University (Ireland). She wrote her thesis on young adults’ forms of citizenship in initial teacher education in Ireland.

Since March 2018 she is part of Prof. Quack's chair and works with Dr. Müller-Suleymanova  in a SNF-project on narratives of youth in the context of biographic experiences of diaspora within Switzerland.
